The Yin Yang symbol represents the Chinese concept that everything is made up of opposite but interconnected forces. 

The skull and lotus represent the cycle of life and death, decay and growth. For every thing there is a season, a time to be born, and a time to die.

The Yin Yang is hand carved by a master artisan from white mother of pearl, black pinna shell, and abalone, and set in sterling silver. The back side has a sterling silver evil eye design, which is a symbol of protection.
